Sumycin is actually Tetracycline. It is an antibiotic that is used to fight bacteria in the body.

How Take Sumycin

Sumycin should be taken with a full glass of water. This medication is to be taken either one hour before or two hours after the meals. One should avoid getting exposed to artificial UV rays and to sunlight as the medication makes the skin more vulnerable to sunburn. Use of protective clothing and SPF 15 sunscreen can handle this situation to some extent.

One should stop the use of this medication if he experiences side effects like dizziness, body aches, peeling of skin and red rash, decreased frequency or urination, blurred vision, confusion, dark colored urine, chills, severe headache, loss of appetite, yellowed skin, upper stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, fever and east bruising or bleeding. Some other complications include sores in the genital or rectal area, vaginal itching and discharge, sores or white patches on the lips and inside the mouth, trouble swallowing and diarrhea.

Sumycin Storage

Sumycin should be stored at room temperature in a cool and dry place. Any unused amount or an expired medicine should be thrown away. Use of expired tetracycline is harmful for health as it causes damage to the kidneys.

Tetracycline should not be used in excess to what has been recommended by the doctor. Overdose can lead to side effects like nausea, diarrhea and vomiting.
