Fioricet contains Acetaminophen, Butalbital and Caffeine. Acetaminophen is a pain reliever and reduces fever. Butalbital is in a group of drugs called barbiturates. It relaxes muscle contraction involved in a tension headache. Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant. It relaxes muscle contraction in blood vessels to improve blood flow. Fioricet Uses
This medication should not be used if the patient has used MAOI during the past 14 days. Serious life threatening side effects may occur if Fioricet is taken before MAOI has cleared off from the body. No overdose of the medicine should be taken that may damage the liver. No pain heeler, sleeping pills, anti allergy tablets should be taken without consulting the doctor. One has to avoid alcohol while using this medication. Acetaminophen 's presence in the Fioricet necessitates that if any one takesmore than three alcoholic beverages per day, do not take this medication without doctor's advice.
How Take Fioricet
