Cleocin - T Gel is used for the treatment of severe acne. It is also used for other conditions as may be decided by the doctor. It is a topical lincomycin antibiotic. It kills sensitive bacteria that causes Acne and also reduces the free fatty acids that irritate the skin surface.

For the use of Cleocin T Gel, following considerations should be weighed duly before arriving at a decision since there are risks of using Cleocin against good it will do. However, since some medical conditions interact with Cleocin T Gel, doctor should be told if any of the medical conditions below apply to the concerned patient-
- There is pregnancy, planning to become pregnant, or breast feeding is practiced.
- The patient is taking any prescription, non-prescription, herbal medicines, or dietary supplements
- If the patient is having allergies to medicines, foods and other substances.
- If any diarrhea or gastrointestinal disorder is present
Some medicines interact with Cleocin T Gel like "muscle relaxants"and aggravates side effects further than what is caused by Cleocin T Gel. Similarly, Erythromycin decreases Cleocin's effectiveness. If these are in use, the doctor must be informed about the same.
How Take Cleocin-T Gel

Cleocin -T Gel Warnings
Cleocin-T Gel may be harmful if it is swallowed. If something like that has happened, poison control center of the locality or emergency room of the hospital must be contacted immediately.
It may take some weeks before you see improvements in healing of acne. One must continue using Cleocin-T Gel for the full time as per the advice of the doctor
Discontinuance of the medication on apparent viewing of cure may not clear up infection completely. The bacteria may develop immunity and may become less sensitive to this or other medication as well. That may make complete healing more difficult in future.
One should be careful not to get Cleocin-T Gel in the eyes or inside the nose or mouth. Flushing of eyes, nose or mouth with fresh cool waster must be resorted to immediately.

Missed application of gel should be applied as soon as remembered. If it is almost time for the next application, the next schedule application must be done at the appropriate time. No extra application as compensation is required.
Cleocin-T Gel Side Effects
There are some common side effects of Cleocin-T Gel like dryness, oiliness, itching -if all these persists or become bothersome, consult the doctor. But, the doctor must be called immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: severe allergic reactions, blood or mucus in stool, stomach cramps or pain, severe diarrhea, swelling, redness, burning or peeling of skin.

Cleocin - T Gel should be stored in room temperature between 68 °F to 72 °F(20 °C to 25 °C) ina tightly closed container and away from moisture, heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom and protect from freezing. Cleocin T Gel should be kept away from children and pet's reach.
